Your Journey with Chayil Couture

How We Work Together

From the very first message to the moment you collect your finished piece — here’s what to expect when you work with Ekuba at Chayil Couture.

Enquiry

Get in Touch

Every great garment starts with a conversation. Reach out via the contact form, WhatsApp, or email with a few details about what you have in mind — an upcoming event, a garment that needs altering, or a design you’ve been dreaming about.

Don’t worry if you’re not sure yet — Ekuba will help you explore ideas and figure out exactly what you need.

“I wasn’t sure what style would suit me — Ekuba asked the right questions and helped me figure it out before I even came in.”

— April K.

Consultation

Your Consultation

We’ll arrange a consultation — in person at Ekuba’s home. This is where Ekuba gets to know you: your lifestyle, your body, your aesthetic, and the occasion you’re dressing for.

We’ll discuss fabrics, styles, timelines, and budget — and you’ll leave with a clear picture of what we’re creating together, and what it will cost.

“She made me feel completely at ease. No pressure — just honest advice and real enthusiasm for the project.”

— Caroline V.

3

Measurements

Precise Measurements

This step is where the magic of bespoke begins. Ekuba takes detailed measurements — not just standard sizes, but the unique contours of your body. This is how we ensure the finished piece fits you, and only you.

For alterations, we measure the existing garment and discuss exactly what needs to change — taking in, letting out, shortening, reshaping — with an eye for proportion and finish.

4

Creation

Crafted with Care

Ekuba gets to work in her Swindon studio — cutting, sewing, and constructing your garment by hand. Every seam, every detail is attended to with care and skill built over years of practice.

Depending on the complexity of the piece, you may be invited in for an interim check during the creation process — especially for bespoke gowns — to ensure everything is tracking perfectly.

“Ekuba made my wedding dress from scratch. It was absolutely perfect — she understood my vision and delivered beyond my expectations.”

— Destiny M. · Bride

5

Fitting

The Fitting

You’ll come in to try on your garment and see it taking shape on your body for the first time. This is one of the most exciting moments in the process — and we allow plenty of time for it.

Any final adjustments are noted and made before the garment is finished. Ekuba won’t let a garment leave her hands unless it’s exactly right.

6

Collection

Collect Your Garment

Your finished garment is ready to collect — beautifully pressed and presented. Whether it’s a wedding gown, a reworked favourite, or a brand new bespoke piece, it’s been made with care specifically for you.

Many of our clients return again and again — for alterations, new pieces, and seasonal updates. We’d love to be your dressmaker for years to come.
